Square Dude 2 is a platform game in the Square Dude series. It was designed and released by Schoman3 on October 14, 2013. It currently has almost 10,000 views and over 300 loves and favorites.

History[]

The original Square Dude game, Square Dude's Adventure, was released on March 24, 2013. The game was featured and received tens of thousands of views and over 1000 loves and favorites. It became one of the most well-known games on Scratch, and it's popularity prompted Schoman3 to create a sequel.

Story[]

The in-game plot reads:

"The world is still in peril!

"Faced with countless robots, Square Dude finds himself in the middle of a dangerous industrial compound!

"To stop the robots once and for all, Square Dude must defeat the source of the aggressive andriods (sic): The nefarious Reck Tangle!"

Gameplay[]

In the game, you play as Square Dude once again. This game has a different (custom) platformer engine than the original Square Dude's Adventure. Square Dude 2 also has different level features, such as the bubble machine. The bubble machine (when used) shoots out multiple bubbles to use as stepping stones to get to other areas. However, when you touch the bubble it pops and you bounce up.

Square Dude 2 has two boss battles. The first boss battle is with a large robot mounted on a conveyor belt. This boss shoots spikes from its hand and throws a spiked ball on a chain towards you. It takes three hits to defeat.

The second boss battle is Reck Tangle himself. He drives a flying saucer-esque machine around the level, shooting rockets, firing lines of electricity, and charges at Square Dude with spikes. Like the first boss battle, he takes three hits to defeat. When the game is finished, you are greeted with ending text.
